Longtime Resident, Volunteer Among Media Obits

Colleen Scott, 86, of Media

Colleen was a resident of Delaware County since 1953. She was a longtime hostess at Walber's on the Delaware and had also worked at Hilton Hotels and Strawbridge and Clothier. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Springfield and volunteered at Taylor Hospital, Tri County Hospital, (now Springfield Hospital), and at the Philadelphia Zoo. A lover of animals she raised a prize winning cow at the Pennsylvania State Fair. With her husband, Dallas, she owned and bred thoroughbred race horses and they were share owners in the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Indians franchises. A sports enthusiast, Colleen was a Temple basketball fan. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]

Miyo Stoop, 84, of Media

Miyo "Gram" was a resident of Media for 20 years. She worked as a hostess at Chopsticks restaurant in Philadelphia for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]
