Man's Death at Rose Tree Park Ruled Suicide

The Delaware County Medical Examiner officially ruled the manner of death of the man found at Rose Tree Park a suicide.

The death of a man who was found dead at Rose Tree Park Monday night has been ruled a suicide, according to the Delaware County Medical Examiner Dr. Fredric Hellman.

Richard "Rocky" C. Geraghty, Jr., 24, of Broomall, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to Hellman.

Police and the medical examiner responded to at about 10:50 p.m. Monday. Geraghty was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m. Monday, according to Hellman's report.

Geraghty was found a few yards in front of the truck, down a small roadway in a grassy area.

Geraghty was a 2005 Marple Newtown High School graduate and according to his Facebook page, in the United States Marine Corps. from 2006 to 2010.
