Police Are Searching For A Suspect After 1 Man Was Reportedly Shot On I-95 In Delco

A 21-year-old man is suspected of shooting the victim in Chester and is wanted by police, according to reports.

CHESTER, PA — A man was shot in Delaware County and then found in South Philadelphia Sunday night, setting authorities on a search for the gunman.

According to Fox 29, the incident started on Highland Avenue at Interstate 95 north in Chester City at about 8:39 p.m. Sunday.

A woman and a man were driving when someone shot at them, striking the man in the neck.

Action News reports Pennsylvania State Police are searching for Zion Blyden, 21, in connection with the shooting.

The woman and man kept driving north on Interstate 95 and eventually stopped at the IKEA in South Philadelphia, Fox reports.

There, the two contacted emergency responders and the man is listed in stable condition.

Blyden is wanted for attempted homicide, assault, and more charges.
