Emergency Responders Save Man's Life After Cardiac Arrest In Media
First responders reached the scene within minutes and began performing life-saving measures.
MEDIA, PA — Emergency responders acted quickly to save a man who suffered cardiac arrest last week in Media.
The victim, 35, suffered the medical episode April 9 at the intersection of 4th and Monroe streets, according to the Media Fire Company.
Within minutes, police arrived, performed CPR and applied a defibrillator to administer a shock.

Firefighters and medics arrived within 3 minutes from dispatch, officials said. They continued CPR and initiated advanced life-support measures.
The man regained consciousness. He was brought to Riddle Hospital for further treatment.

"This incident highlights the critical importance of rapid response, early CPR, and defibrillation, as well as the seamless coordination between all responding agencies," the Media Fire Company said in a statement.
Emergency medical personnel from Riddle Hospital and the Swarthmore Fire & Protective Association also helped at the scene.
