Maris Grove Hosts “Moving Made Easy” Seminar

On April 16, Maris Grove, a developed and managed Erickson Living retirement community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, held part two of its “Moving Made Easy” seminar series with Maris Grove’s Personal Moving Consultant Jan Schechter and special guest Margit Novak, president of Moving Solutions. More than 150 priority list members attended the educational event and enjoyed a delicious lunch on campus.

Schechter leads the realty and moving services program, designed to provide new residents with a seamless transition to Maris Grove. Beginning with a home visit, she works one-on-one with future residents to deliver personalized assistance with everything from selecting a real estate professional to coordinating house staging, donating items, packing and laying out furniture in their new apartment home.

During the seminar, attendees learned the art of transferring family heirlooms to the next generation without causing strife, misunderstanding, or hurt feelings among loved ones as well as tips on how to downsize. In addition, Maris Grove’s Trips Coordinator Laurie Tipton spoke about the many clubs, trips, and travel opportunities available at the community.
