Spring has sprung—and so have the pathways to college for a number of local high school students, thanks to the Student Scholar Awards at Maris Grove, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

Dedicated high school student workers are being recognized and set up for success through these four-year scholarships, funded by generous donations from community residents. At the Student Scholar ceremony on May 21, 25 student workers were granted $8,000 scholarships to support their pursuit of a college or trade school education. In addition, three students received donor-designated named scholarships totaling $9,000.

This year’s Maris Grove Scholars’ Campaign brought in $123,604. Since 2008, the Maris Grove Scholars’ Fund has awarded over $1 million in financial aid to student workers to support their pursuit of higher education.

“Our student workers really appreciate these impactful awards. I’d like to thank the residents who contributed to the Student Scholarship Fund,” says Executive Director Maureen Heckler. “Our high school students truly help residents live engaging lives, and we thank them for that. We wish them the best as they embark on their next adventures.”
