Media Little League Extends Hot Streak, Defeats New Jersey

The Media Little League nine and 10-year-old district team continued their dominating play in the second game of the Eastern Regional Invitational Tournament, beating New Jersey, 6-3.

Facing the nine and 10-year-old district team, New Jersey's Holbrook Little League team certainly had their hands full. MLL not only boasts 30 runs scored compared to 10 runs allowed in the past two games, but has also shown the ability to score in late innings to overcome deficits.

Monday morning's game was no different.

Media came into the bottom of the second inning down 3-2 and never looked back, charging out of the inning with a 4-3 lead and winning the game, 6-3.

The bats didn't heat up quite like they have the past two games, but the team still managed to win their second game of the Eastern Regional Invitational Tournament with a strong defensive outing.

Media Little League looks to continue their impressive play against New York in Rhode Island on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
