Murder Charges Filed After Woman Stabs Boyfriend In Delco: Reports

Authorities said an Aston woman fatally stabbed her long-time boyfriend in the chest with a steak knife Monday evening.

ASTON, PA β€” A Delaware County woman is charged with murder and related crimes after authorities said she fatally stabbed her boyfriend.

According to Aston Township Police, officers were called Monday evening to the block of Blackthorne Lane for a report of a stabbing

Court records show Beth Peterson, 35, was charged with first- and third-degree murder, criminal homicide, and possession of a weapon by Aston Township Police on Tuesday.

Peterson, of Aston, is being held without bail.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, officers who came to the residencefound Matthew Wilcox on the floor, with Peterson giving him CPR.

Wilcox, 39, was taken to a hospital where he died from a stab wound to his chest.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Peterson told authorities Wilcox arrived at the residence under the influence of alcohol, which led to an argument.
