Murder-Suicide Being Investigated In Delco: Police
Two people are dead following a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in Nether Providence.

Two people are dead after what authorities in Delaware County are calling a murder-suicide that occurred Monday afternoon, according to police.
The incident unfolded at about 1:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 on the 900 block of South Providence Road in Nether Providence Township, according to township police.
Police responded to the area for a report of a shooting and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, where they were pronounced deceased a short while later, police said.
Police are not releasing the names of the decedents until next of kin is notified, however CBS Philadelphia reports a man shot a woman then himself in the incident.

The Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division and the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating along with Nether Providence Police.
