New Principals, Assistant Principal Approved for RTM Schools
Rose Tree Elementary, Glenwood Elementary and Penncrest High School will each see new principals and an assistant principal on Sept. 4.
The recently approved an interim principal at Rose Tree Elementary School and the re-assignment of the principal at Glenwood Elementary School and assistant principal at Penncrest High School.
The board approved Interim Principal Wayne McAllister at following the resignation of Principal Karen Daugherty.
Superintendant James Wigo said McAllister will fill the role while the district looks for a permanent replacement, which could be a lengthy process.

McAllister comes from the Upper Darby School District as principal of Garrettford Elementary School for the last 29 years, Wigo said.
Daugherty is headed for a position in the Radnor Township School District.

"I would like to thank Karen for the extraordinary work she has accomplished in her five years at Rose Tree Elementary School and especially for the leadership that brought about such wonderful recognition in the form of a ," Wigo said.
Daugherty will help to transition McAllister before leaving.
and will swap principal and assistant principal.Â
Former Penncrest Assistant Principal Eric Bucci will become principal at Glenwood while former Glenwood Principal William Dougherty will become assistant principal at Penncrest.
The switch was effective July 1.
Board of School Directors President Linda Kinsler-Fox explained that the reason for the swap was that Dougherty needed secondary school experience.
