Penncrest Alumni Reaches Finale on Hit Show 'Survivor'

David Wright, Media native, reaches the finale and is so close to getting a chance of winning CBS's hit show, 'Survivor.'

It was in 1992 when David Wright was graduating from Penncrest High School.

Now, David, who was raised in Media, is just one week away from getting the chance to plead his case to the jury on why he should be the next 'Survivor.'

David started the game in a rough spot. He was the first person people targeted on Day 1 and was almost voted out. He had to deal with some of his own anxiety issues and trying to get used to living outdoors in rough conditions. But if you watched tonights episode, which took place on day 36, vs the first episode, you can see how much David has grown. He is arguably one of the top players and most fun to watch all season.

After starting with 20 players, David has made it all the way to the final 6. And it hasn't been easy. And it's fair to say that the final episode won't be easy to get past as well.

He will have to make it past 3 more tribal council ceremonies. If he is able to do that and get to the final three, then he will plead his case to the jury of 10 players who were all voted out earlier in the season. The 10 will all then cast their vote for who they think should win the title of 'Soul Survivor' along with the $1,000,000 cash prize.

David also has a very arguable resume to plead along with. He has made some big moves, worked with the right people, won an individual immunity, found 2 hidden immunity idols and played both for another person to save them, and probably the person who has changed and grown the most throughout this entire season. Not to mention, his name has been brought it several recent tribals, and was able to stay alive.

So tune into the Survivor 2-hour Season Finale next Wednesday, December 14th, on CBS at 8pm, and cheer on to help support Media-Native David Wright as he makes his way to the end!
