Charter School Admin​ Had Sex With Student In Delaware County: Authorities

He is accused of taking a 14-year-old female student to a hotel in Delaware County in April where he allegedly had sex with her.

TINICUM, PA – An administrator at a Philadelphia charter is facing felony charges related to statutory rape after alleged taking a student to a hotel in Delaware County where the incident reportedly took place, according to court records and media reports.

Master Charter Middle School's former dean of students Omar Harrison has been charged with felony statutory sexual assault, felony indecent assault of a person under 16 years old, felony sexual assault, felony sexual contact with a student, felony corruption of minors, and indecent assault of a person less than 16 year old, according to court records.

Harrison, 42, of Elkins Park, is being held in Delaware County after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail at his Oct. 25 preliminary arraignment.

CBS Philadelphia reports Harrison allegedly took a 14-year-old female student to a hotel in Tinicum Township where the alleged assault happened in April 2017.

The school has reportedly terminated Harrison upon learning of the allegations last week.

Harrison is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 6.
