More than 135 runners and walkers came out to on Saturday morning to participate in the second annual 'Run the Lane' 5K Run/Walk. More than 30 teachers ran or walked in the event, which benefits the

Kids enjoyed a moon bounce, face painting and a one-mile fun run, which began with a race between the Chick-Fil-A cow and the Indian Lane Bobcat. It was a close call, but the Bobcat brought home the victory.

The Norm Kelly Smiles Scholarship Fund was created in memory of  teacher Norm Kelly, who passed away in 2006 after battling cancer. The scholarship funds are presented each year for use in higher education to two to three seniors, who "exemplify the spirit of a remarkable human being—similar to that of the late Norm Kelly," the website reads.
