BROOKHAVEN, PA — A pizza delivery driver for a Delaware County business stepped up to help local police apprehend a suspect over the weekend, and still delivered the food unscathed.

In the viral video (viewer discretion advised due to adult language), Morell is at the door with the order and the customer can be heard saying "that's a high speed chase," as two Brookhaven Police vehicles go past while pursuing another vehicle.

Action News reports the pursued vehicle was stolen out of Upper Darby.

Morell leaves the stoop, pizza in hand still, and goes to the edge of the road.

The vehicle being pursued crashes and the suspect gets out.

Video shows the suspect run toward Morell on the grass next to the road.

Morell simply stuck his leg out, tripping up the suspect and sending him to the ground.

Officers quickly apprehend the suspect, and Morell can be heard calling the suspect "a ****ing idiot."

Morell never even came close to dropping the customer's order.

"Thank you sir for the assist," Brookhaven Police said on social media of the incident. "If you’re interested in a job we are always looking for good people. Cocco's Pizza Aston - you have great employees!"

Delaware County Daily Times reports two people, 17 and 19, were taken into custody in connection with the incident and face charges such as stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding police, and resisting arrest.

Patch has reached out to Cocco's and Brookhaven Police for more information and will update the story when additional details are made available.
