Police Shooting Under Investigation In Delco

The officers 'took decisive action in the face of imminent danger,' according to a local police organization's president.

CHESTER, PA — A shooting incident involving law enforcement in Chester is under investigation.

The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday by 9th and Walnut streets, according to CBS News.

At least two people were brought to the hospital, sources told NBC10.

6abc Action News says a man shot a woman and was then shot by police.

Authorities have not confirmed the circumstances of the incident. But leadership from a local Fraternal Order of Police chapter said it was officer-involved.

"The officers who responded and took decisive action in the face of imminent danger last evening, are heroes in every sense of the word," said Jonathan Ross, president of FOP William Penn Lodge 19. "To all those who reached out, your concern and prayers for the Chester officers and victim of this tragic event are truly appreciated."
