Police: Son Arrested for DUI; Drunken Dad Picks Him Up

A drunken Chadds Ford man arrived at the the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks to pick his son up from the station after he was arrested for driving under the influence himself, according to State Police.

The drunken dad arrived at the police station at about 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 4 and said he was there to pick up his son who was previously arrested in connection with driving under the influence, according to State Police.

Troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the man's breath and he admitted to driving his vehicle from his house in Chadds Ford to the Media Barracks, according to State Police.

Police believed the man was incapable of safe driving and he was also placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, according to State Police.
