Prive Festivals, Parades In Delco: Here's What's Happening During Pride Month

Members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies will have several opportunities to celebrate Pride Month in Delco. Here are some events.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies will have several opportunities to celebrate Pride Month in Delco.

Delaware County Pride Parade

  • When: this Saturday, 12-2 p.m.
  • Where: 104 E. State St., Media

The second-ever Delco Pride Parade will feature a colorful procession of participants, community groups, nonprofits, and performers, showcasing a wide range of identities and sexualities. The parade route is about a mile long, with multiple spots for performances. More info.

Pride on State

  • When: this Saturday, 2-9 p.m.
  • Where: various locations in Media

After the parade, celebrations will continue into the evening with several locations and organizations throughout downtown Media hosting LGBTQIA+ events and activities. Click here for more info and a list of events and locations.

Swarthmore Pride Celebration

  • When: this Sunday, 1-4 p.m.
  • Where: 100 block of Park Avenue, Swarthmore

This celebration will include local makers from the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies, plus music, food and Drag Queen Story Hour. More info.

Delaware County Pride Festival

  • When: June 13, 1-6 p.m.
  • Where: in front of the Upper Darby Municipal Building (100 Garrett Rd., Upper Darby)

The festival will showcase plenty of live entertainment, including drag performances, DJs, live music and more. The event is family-friendly, with children's activities including face painting, interactive games and special performances. More info.
