Resident Interrupts Burglary, Police Say

Attempted Burglary—Pembrooke Road at about 1:57 p.m. on March 6. Unidentified people entered the residence and the homeowner surprised the burglar who then fled the scene, according to State Police. Anyone with information relating to this crime is asked to call Tropper Tsung at 484-840-1000.

Pembrooke Road residents tell Media Patch that around the same time, two men were seen going door-to-door telling residents that they were doing work in the area on windows and roofs and asking if they wanted an estimate. Residents say the men returned around 7 p.m. and were seen again on March 7 knocking on doors and looking into windows, according to a Pembrooke Road resident.

Drug Possession—Delaware County Alternative High School at about 11:45 a.m. on March 6. A 16-year-old Boothwyn student was found to have a small amount of marijuana in their possession, according to State Police. Charges will be filed, according to police.

One-Car Crash—Pine Tree Drive near S. Old Middletown Road at about 1:28 a.m. on March 2. A Honda Civic, driven by a 39-year-old Media woman, struck a tree head on, which was located on the right shoulder of the roadway, according to State Police. The driver sustained minor injuries and was cited for careless driving, according to State Police. The Honda sustained disabling damage.
