Rose Tree Place Seniors Have Memorable Start to Summer
Media Retirement Community Makes Up for Lost Time with Weekend-Long Independence Day Celebrations
MEDIA, Pa. - Residents of Rose Tree Place, a Watermark Retirement Community in Media, celebrated Independence Day for an entire weekend, making up for some of the festivities put on hold last year as a result of the pandemic.
Ahead of the holiday weekend, about 70 fully vaccinated residents and 25 family members reconnected over food and cocktails as they listened to music performed by their favorite Mummers, The Stringband Novelties and The Hardly Ables String Band. The residents also helped decorate one of Rose Tree Place’s buses for the Marple Newtown July 4th Parade. The theme was Under the Sea, and their hard work and creative décor paid off with a second-place finish in the commercial float division!
