State Police Blotter: Prescription Pills Stolen During Burglary

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
Simple Assault—Lungren Road at approximately 9 p.m. on Oct. 23. A 32-year-old man was in an argument with a woman when he grabbed the woman and pushed her, throwing her to the ground, State Police said. The woman sustained bruising to her arms, State Police said.
Burglary—Church Road between 1:45 and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 23. Unknown persons broke the glass to a rear door and attempted to unlock it, State Police said, when they were unable to, they kicked in the bottom portion of the double hung door and entered the house. The persons removed two prescription pill bottles containing about four pills of Oxycontin/codone from the kitchen table and two more prescription pill bottles containing about 120 pills of Oxycontin/codone from a bedroom, State Police said. The persons looked through a jewelry box but no other items were stolen, State police said. They left through a rear sliding glass door, State Police said. The total damage to the home was approximately $1,000 and total value of the stolen pills was about $20, State Police said.

Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 2 p.m. on Oct. 23. Two 16-year-old females from Chester stole $129 worth of merchandise and both were cited, State Police said.
Theft by Unlawful Taking—Hannams Harley Davidson between 4 and 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 22. An unknown person stole the victim's Nikon D3000 camera, State Police said.

Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 5:47 p.m. on Oct. 22. A 17-year-old Media woman stole three earrings and a hat, valued at $104, State Police said. The woman was cited by police.
Underage Drinking—Copes Lane at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Oct. 22. Two 18-year-old Media men were found to have consumed alcohol being under the age of 21, State Police said.
DUI—Route 452 at Route 1 at approximately 2:08 a.m. on Oct. 22. A 27-year-old Cherry Hill, NJ man was stopped at a red light and was unresponsive behind the wheel of the vehicle, State Police said. Once the man became responsive he was identified as being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested, State Police said.
Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 21. A Philadelphia woman and Ridley Township woman, both 21, stole $396 worth of women's clothing from the store, State Police said. Charges will be filed in District Court 32-2-48.
Harassment/Theft— at 1067 Baltimore Pike at approximately 9:08 p.m. on Oct. 21. A 27-year-old Media man took the victim's phone from her while they were working and fled the scene, State Police said.
DUI Crash—Route 352 and Old Forge Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 21. A Virginia woman driving on Route 352 left her lane and struck another vehicle, State Police said. Both vehicles sustained minor front end damage and no one was injured, State Police said. A subsequent investigation yielded the arrest of the Virginia woman for DUI and charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48, State Police said.
DUI—Route 1 near Route 252 ramp at approximately 3:26 a.m. on Oct. 20. A Secane woman driving a Ford Explorer nearly struck two State Troopers assisting with a disabled vehicle, State Police said. The Explorer was followed and stopped after several motor vehicle violations, State Police said. The woman was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages and subsequently placed under arrest, State Police said. Charges will be filed.
Minor Car Crash—Route 352 near Bonsall Drive at approximately 2:53 p.m. on Oct. 19. A Toyota Camry crashed into the rear of a Ford Windstar when the Windstar stopped for traffic at a red light, State Police said. The driver of the Windstar sustained minor injuries and was transported to , State Police said. No one was injuried in Camry.
Retail Theft— at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 10:46 a.m. on Oct. 19. Margie Pollard, 53, of Newark, Del. was charged with retail theft and similar offenses in connection with removing clothing valued at $1,115.97 from the store, State Police said.
Criminal Mischief—Thomas Chevrolet between Oct. 19 and 20. An unknown person threw a rock through the passenger side window of a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, State Police said.
