State Police Blotter: Man Tries to Buy Wii with Counterfeit Bill

Minor Two-Car Crash—Route 352 at Route 1 at approximately 4:56 p.m. on Dec. 27. A Ford Focus rear ended a Toyota Rav4, State Police said. No one was injuried and both vehicles displayed damages, State Police said.
Minor Two-Car Crash—Route 1 at Route 452 at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 27. A Cheverolet Astro was attempting to make a left turn onto Rt. 452 when it crossed the path of a Dodge Ram that was about to cross Rt. 452 and caused a head on collision, State Police said. The 67-year-old driver of the Astro was taken to Riddle Hospital for minor injuries, State Police said, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver of the Astro was also issued a careless driving violation, State Police said.

Minor Three-Car Crash—Route 452 at Lenni Road at approximately 7:05 p.m. on Dec. 23. A Cadillac Escalade was attempting to make a legal left turn from Rt. 452 into a driveway by crossing the opposite lane, State Police said. A Mazda was stopped directly behind the Escalade waiting for it to turn, State Police said. A Chevrolet Cobalt approached the area, didn't see that traffic was stopped and rear ended the Mazda, which then rear ended the Escalade, State Police said. The 47-year-old driver of the Mazda was transported to Riddle Hospital for injuries, State Police said. The Escalade and Mazda were disabled in the intersection and the driver of the Cobalt was issued a traffic violation, State Police said.
Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 11:26 a.m. on Dec. 21. A 27-year-old Brookhaven man attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, State Police said. The man was arrested, processed and released, State Police said.

Theft-Forgery Fraud—Miller Road in Edgmont Township at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 19. Unknown persons attempted to cash a check that was issued to Peak Beam System Company, State Police said. An investigation continues.
Forgery—at Granite Run Mall at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 19. A 21-year-old Chester man attempted to buy a Nintendo Wii with a counterfeit $100 bill, State Police said. The man was arrested and transported for processing.
