State Police Blotter: Motorcycle Driver Suffers Minor Injuries in Crash

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Longview Road on March 26. Unknown persons stole an iPod and a Garmin GPS from inside a Toyota Camry, according to State Police.
DUI—Route 1 at Valley Road at about 12:25 a.m. on March 25. During a traffic stop it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, according to State Police. Eligio Zavala Romero, 42, of Newark, Del. was arrested and charged with DUI and other traffic offenses, according to State Police.

Wanted Person/Arrest Prior to Requisition—Delchester Road and Tyler Drive in Edgmont Township at about 4:45 p.m. on March 24. Police conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation and further investigation lead to the driver being placed into custody for probation violations out of Burlington, N.J., according to State Police. Timothy Michael Capper, 24, of Marlton, N.J., was processed and transported to George Hill Correctional Facility to await a preliminary arraignment, according to State Police.
Criminal Mischief—Painter Road at about 9:24 p.m. on March 23. The victim had his lawn damaged when an unknown person drove a vehicle onto the grass leaving tire marks, according to State Police.

One-Vehicle Motorcycle Crash—Gradyville and Delchester roads at about 4 p.m. on March 22. A 58-year-old Newtown Square man, driving a Yamaha Venture motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a hill at the intersection, according to State Police. The man suffered minor injuries and had all the required safety equipment on, including a helmet, according to State Police.
Harassment— at about 7:15 a.m. on March 21. Two female juveniles had a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation, according to State Police. Police arrived and spoke with school staff and the females, according to State Police. The two females were charged with harassment and their parents were notified, according to State Police.
Retail Theft— at at about 6:23 p.m. on March 21. A 41-year-old Chester woman removed sneakers from the store and left without paying for them, according to State Police.
Controlled Substance Possession—Delaware County Alternative High School at about 2 p.m. on March 19. A juvenile possessed a controlled substance, which was not prescribed for their use, on school property, according to State Police. The juvenile was taken into police custody and charges will be filed in juvenile court, according to State Police.
Retail Theft—Kohl’s Department Store at 1301 Skippack Pike in Blue Bell at about 1:13 p.m. on March 17. Two 14-year-old Media females were seen attempting to steal $433.35 worth of merchandise by hiding it in their purses, according to Whitpain Township Police.
Criminal Mischief—Meadow Lane on March 14. Unknown persons scratched the hood of the victim's vehicle, according to State Police.
Access Device Fraud—Glen Riddle Road between March 9 and 14. An unknown person gained access to the victim's personal information and made several unauthorized purchases out-of-state, according to State Police.
