Substitute Teacher Under Investigation For Inappropriate Behavior With Delco Students: PD
The educator, who works for a contracted staffing agency, will not be allowed back at district schools, officials said.
NETHER PROVIDENCE, PA — A substitute teacher is under criminal investigation for "potentially inappropriate communication" with students, according to Nether Providence Police.
The substitute teacher worked in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. District leadership contacted law enforcement when they became aware of allegations about the educator's potentially inappropriate communication with "a limited number of students," police said Wednesday.
Police withheld the teacher's identity and where they worked in the district, since the investigation is ongoing. No further details about the allegations were shared.

The substitute worked for a contracted staffing agency and isn't a school district employee. The agency has placed the teacher on leave, and the individual won't be allowed to return to Wallingford-Swarthmore Schools.
"Parents and guardians are encouraged to remind students to report any interaction or communication that makes them feel uncomfortable or concerned to a trusted adult," police said in a statement.
