Thousands Chowed Down at Media's Annual Food Festival Sunday

Thousands turned out for the annual favorite festival along Media's bustling State Street on Sunday.

They came hungry, and left happy. The 31st Annual Media Food and Craft Festival, sponsored by Media Business Authority, was a rousing success on Sunday. It wasThousands of people, locals and also visitors from far and wide, came to eat, shop, stroll and have a great time.

There were dozens of restaurants and catering companies representing this year. A few of the local eateries included , , , , and . Others came from a bit farther, like Lebano's Catering and DeFabios Catering. Needless to say, no one left hungry.

There were many familiy-frienly activities including the Family Fun Center's inflatable moon bounce, giant slide and rock wall. There was face painting, sand art, and pottery-making.

Bands got the crowd rockin' at either end of State Street. The Roger Girke Band, Leroy Hawkes & the Hipnotics, Lonnie Shields Band, and Jimmy Shoe and the Shine played throughout the event.

Vendors included handmade scarves, garden signs, sports memorabilia, antiques and other crafts.
