Two Junior Threats on Penncrest Football Team

Penncrest High School football team seems to be getting better each week.

The Lions are 0-7 overall and 0-6 in the Central League. But Penncrest did hold a 13-7 lead

Two players that have steadily improved are junior receivers Kevin Trusty and Dan Young. Trusty had five catches against Strath Haven and his 50-yard touchdown is the Lions’ longest scoring play this season. Young also had five catches against Strath Haven.

"I see our offense starting to come around," Lions’ coach Rick Stroup said. "We’re getting more creative once we got it. That’s all we want to do is improve each week. We talk about competing and getting better each week. The kids have continued to keep playing until the end of games. They’re not quitting. Regardless, win or lose, it’s still a game. Obviously there are things that are frustrating, but we can’t dwell on what happened—you have to move forward."
 
"We have two players in Kevin and Dan that are coming around. Kevin is our playmaker, and Dan has done well for us, too," Stroup said.
