What's So Cool About Manufacturing?

8th Grade Springton Lake Students, (l-r) Zac Allen, Ashley Plick, Andrew Weber, Bobby Sundo, Emma Szwajkowski, and Connor Meek participated in the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? video contest this past fall. The contest is promoted by Chester/Delaware County Manufacturing Alliance. Springton’s students were paired with Southco Inc, a touch point manufacturer in Concordville and spent a day in November touring the corporate headquarters and filming the manufacturing process as well as interviewing several employees.

In the weeks following their visit to Southco, students combed through nearly 6 hours of video footage and created an informational video on manufacturing at Southco Inc. The Springton Lake Students were earned the award for Outstanding Videography Award.
