White Dog Cafe Glen Mills to Launch Paws on the Paw-tio

White Dog Cafe Glen Mills, 981 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills in the Shoppes at Brinton Lake, will celebrate the launch of the spring patio season on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 5- 6:30 pm with their first Paws on the Paw-tio for Providence Animal Center and Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals featuring a ribbon cutting and a paw-ty for pups and their humans alike! Humans will also be able to purchase a page in a soon-to-be-published coloring book by renowned artist Jay McClellan.

McClellan’s sentimental and decorative works cover the walls at White Dog Cafe locations in Haverford, Glen Mills, and University City. His paintings juxtapose bold colors with graphic patterns and unique designs. McClellan is partnering with Providence Animal Center to create a coloring book that can feature your pup! For a donation of $250, your pup can be featured in the book, to be published this fall, which will benefit Providence Animal Center. Donors will also receive the original drawing of their pup!

Providence Animal Center of Media offers life-affirming rescue, adoption, medical care, and training of companion animals. They are a 501 (c) (3) private non-profit, charitable organization registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State and supported entirely by private donations.

Every other Monday starting May 20, 2024, (June 3 &17, July 1, 15 & 29, August 12 & 26, September 9 & 23, and October 7, 21 & 28) through until Monday, October 28th, weather permitting, Providence Animal Center will be on site with the pups of the week who will be available for adoption or to foster as well as to hold and cuddle. There will also be ongoing special events tied in with the Paws on the Paw-tio for Providence Animal Center throughout the season.

Team members and volunteers from Providence will be on-site to assist with adoptions and answer questions.

Executive Chef Michael Selser has created a special menu for pups, a doggie dining delights trio for $15 that includes a plant-based honey-coconut Frosted Donut by Appleville Treats, a Roasted Chicken Bowl with Chicken Breast, Carrots, Peas, and Rice, and for dessert Giggy Bites Frozen Yogurt! For the humans, there is the Tito’s Dog House cocktail with proceeds benefitting Providence Animal Center.

Providence Animal Center will also have its new coffee table book on hand for sale. The Heart of Providence and Francisvale is a fundraising project by Carol Arscott Photography. The book celebrates the lives saved by Providence Animal Center and Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals. It features short stories of these amazing pets, as shared by their humans, and photos by Carol. PAC receives 100% of the session fees and proceeds from the sale of the books.

White Dog Cafe Glen Mills has 108 seats outside, 12 at the outdoor bar which offers 9 beers on draft! The patio is open daily.
