Celebrity Chef Michael Symon to Appear at Market District in Robinson
Food Network's 'Iron Chef' and co-host of ABC's 'The Chew,' will host cooking demonstrations and present fresh home meal solutions from his new cookbook "5 in 5."

Michael Symon, Iron Chef on the Food Network and co-host of ABCβsΒ The Chew, will appear this SeptemberΒ at theΒ MarketΒ District store in Robinson Township to host a cookingΒ demonstration and present fresh home meal solutions from his new cookbookΒ "5 in 5."
Symon will appear at 11 a.m. Sept. 8 at the Robinson Market District and at 3 p.m. at the Bethel Park Market District.Β
Symonβs appearances are free to the public, butΒ tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Advance ticket registration is available online atΒ marketdistrict.com

"5 in 5"Β will be released onΒ Sept. 3. The cookbook demonstrates howΒ fabulous meals can be prepared using no more than five ingredients and some pantry staples, all of which cook in five minutes and cost less than $5 a serving.Β Β
This is Symonβs second cookbook and is a follow-up toΒ "Michael Symonβs Live to Cook: Recipes and Techniques to Rock Your Kitchen."Β

Symon cooks with soul, creating boldly flavored, deeply satisfying dishes at his four restaurants in Americaβs heartland: Lola, Lolita, Roast, and B Spot.Β He also shares his exuberant, approachable cooking style and infectious laugh with viewers as an Iron Chef on the Food Network. Β
Since being named a Best New Chef byΒ Food & WineΒ magazine in 1998, Symon and his restaurants have been awarded numerous honors. In 2010, he was the first chef ever to host the annual Farm Aid benefit concert, and B Spotβs Fat Doug burger won the Peopleβs Choice Award at the SoBe Wine & Food Festival. In 2009, Symon earned The James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Great Lakes and theΒ Detroit Free PressΒ named Roast βRestaurant of the Year.βΒ
In 2010, Symon appeared on four Food Network/Cooking Channel shows, hostingΒ Food FeudsΒ andΒ Cook Like an Iron Chef, judging season three ofΒ The Next Iron ChefΒ in 2008, earning him a permanent spot on the panel of esteemed Iron Chefs.Β
When heβs not working, Symon is riding his motorcycle through Cleveland, cooking at home, playing golf, gardening in the backyard, and spending time with his wife, Liz, their bullmastiff, Ruby, and an Old English bulldog, Ozzy.
