Geneva College 2011 Commencement Program

Commencement events begin with a baccalaureate service on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. Rev. Daniel Kiehl of Meadowcroft Church in Westchester, Pa. will provide the message.

Traditional undergraduate commencement will be Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held outside in Reeves Stadium, weather permitting. Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Promise Dr. Saleem Ghubril will present the commencement address. Dr. Ghubril has taught graduate-level courses and spoken in chapel at Geneva and in 1999, the school awarded him an honorary Doctorate of Public Service. An outdoor reception for the graduates and their families will follow on the lawns near Old Main.

If inclement weather forces undergraduate commencement indoors, tickets will be required to enter Metheny Fieldhouse. For the latest available information on the location of the ceremony, call the commencement hotline at 724-847-6100 or visit the commencement webpage at www.geneva.edu/object/commencement_2011.
