Former Moon Township Police Officer Ordered to Undergo Anger Management

The preliminary hearing was rescheduled.

A preliminary hearing was continued Thursday for a former Moon Township police officer charged with domestic abuse.Β 

In the meantime, Crafton District Judge Dennis R. Joyce ordered Jeffrey Klotz of MoonΒ to undergo anger management classes.

The preliminary hearing was rescheduled for Nov. 21.

Moon Supervisors approved the termination of Klotz last week stemming from his July 8Β arrest on simple assault and false imprisonment charges.Β Β 

Klotz, 45, is accused of pushing his wife, causing her to hit her head, and refusing to let her leave the house.

HeΒ hadΒ been with the Moon policeΒ department for 23 years.Β
