The Polar Plunge at Heinz Field is a law enforcement-driven fundraising event that challenges an individual or group to enter into the cold Allegheny River in order to raise money for Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.Plunge participants set a fundraising goal and get pledges from family, friends and colleagues for their commitment to be “freezin' for a reason.” Polar Plunge benefits more than 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes—the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
By being a part of the Plunge challenge, you are allowing thousands upon thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities to experience a brighter tomorrow. So dare to Plunge!
Since 2010, the Polar Plunge in Pittsburgh has raised more than $750,000 for the amazing and wonderful athletes who participate in Special Olympics Pennsylvania!

All activities will take place at Heinz Field on Saturday and Sunday.
FREE Parking is available in Gold Lot 1.There will be plenty of activities for the entire family (chili cook-off, bands, games, costume contest, etc.).
