July 4 falls on a Saturday in 2026, giving Robinson-Moon residents an extra-long holiday weekend to celebrate. From hometown traditions and community festivals to fireworks displays and family-friendly fun, there are plenty of ways to mark Independence Day close to home.

Findlay Township Independence Day Fireworks Celebration
When: Friday, July 3, 2026, 5β10:15 p.m.; fireworks at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Where: Recreation and Sports Complex at Leopold Lake | 810 Route 30, Imperial

Just a short drive from Robinson and Moon, Findlay Township's Independence Day celebration features music, food trucks, balloon and airbrush tattoo artists, giveaways and fireworks by Pyrotecnico. Gates open at 5 p.m., with shuttle service available from designated off-site locations.

City Of Pittsburgh Independence Day Celebration
When: Saturday, July 4, 2026, festivities begin at 4 p.m.; fireworks at 9:35 p.m.
Where: Point State Park, Downtown Pittsburgh, North Shore and Mount Washington
Admission: Free
Pittsburgh's landmark America 250 celebration will bring food vendors, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, a veterans wellness space, a vendor marketplace and more to the city. The fireworks spectacular, billed as the city's largest display in decades, will include a drone performance before fireworks launch over the rivers.
July 4th: Explosive Science!
When: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 6β11 p.m.
Where: Daniel G. and Carole L. Kamin Science Center | One Allegheny Ave., Pittsburgh
Admission: Ticket required
Families looking for a ticketed fireworks-viewing option can head to the Kamin Science Center for a star-spangled evening along the North Shore. The event includes a reserved viewing area for Pittsburgh's fireworks, a movie and popcorn in The Rangos Giant Cinema, a planetarium show, live entertainment, exhibits and more.
Fourth Of July Gateway Clipper Cruises
When: Saturday, July 4, 2026; cruise times vary
Where: Gateway Clipper Fleet | 350 W. Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh
Admission: Ticket required
For a view from the water, the Gateway Clipper Fleet will offer Fourth of July cruises on Pittsburgh's three rivers. Options include a dinner cruise with an Independence Day buffet, music, dancing and fireworks views, as well as a shorter sightseeing cruise for those who want to take in the celebration from the river.
Allegheny County America's 250th Anniversary Celebration
When: Sunday, July 5, 2026
Where: Hartwood Acres Amphitheater | 4000 Middle Road, Allison Park
Admission: Free
Allegheny County will continue the holiday weekend with a special America 250 celebration at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater. The patriotic performance will be followed by a coordinated drone show, giving families another way to close out the long Independence Day weekend.
