Holy Trinity School Students Celebrate Catholic Schools Week: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service

Holy Trinity School Celebrate Catholic Schools Week: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, PA (February 2016) — Holy Trinity Catholic School celebrated Catholic School week (January 31-February 6) with a focus on Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. The opening mass celebration was held at the 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church. Each school day focused on an important theme of Catholic School Week, i.e. Day of Faith, Day of Service, Day of Family, Day of Knowledge, & Student Fun Day. The Day of Faith included a Positive Paws puppet show, where the students were educated about Chimbote, Peru, common foods eaten in Chimbote, and the importance of healthy foods. Deacon Miles also spoke to the school about the benefits of a Catholic education. The Day of Service and Spirt Day included a pep rally, tailgate party, Cha Cha for Chimbote dance, and evening event titled "Experience Chimbote: Mind, Body and Soul.” Dr. Pat Joyce shared his knowledge and personal experiences in Chimbote, Peru, bringing a vivid reality of the day-to-day life of there. The Day of Family included the ever popular “Buddy Lunch”, where each student is permitted to bring a buddy/family member to enjoy lunch at school. The Day of Knowledge focused on the Mass and Divine Mercy picture dedication. The last day of Catholic School week was Student Fun Day. Grades K-2 enjoyed an assembly from the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, while Grades 3-5 enjoyed a bowling, and Grades 6-8 took a field trip to Seven Springs for skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding, and other activities.
