IKEA Recalls Junior Beds Due to Laceration Hazard

The beds were sold exclusively in IKEA stores nationwide and online.

IKEA is recalling certain models of its junior beds due to a laceration hazard.

There has been one report in the United StatesΒ and one in CanadaΒ of the metal rod on the beds breaking, according to the company.Β 

No injuries have been reported.

Recalled beds include the Kritter and SniglerΒ models with a guard rail on one side.Β 

The pine wood KritterΒ beds have animal cut-outs, such as a dog and cat on the headboard and a date stamp of 1114 to 1322 representing the year and week of production (YYWW).Β

Sniglar natural beech wood beds have a white painted fiberboard insert on the headboard and footboard of the bed and a date stamp of 1114 to 1318. The date stamp appears on a label attached to either the headboard or the underside of the bed.Β 

The beds were sold exclusively inΒ IKEA stores nationwide and online atΒ www.ikea-usa.comΒ from July 2005 through May 2013 for between $60 and $90. Β
