Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 7, in 2026. Many stores, pharmacies and restaurants are expected to remain open, while government offices, schools, libraries and other public services will be closed.

Individual locations may adjust their Labor Day hours, and some holiday schedules may not be finalized until closer to Sept. 7. It's always a good idea to check with the business directly before heading out.

Robinson Township Offices And Public Services

Robinson Township offices are expected to be closed Monday, Sept. 7, as the township lists Labor Day among its observed holidays. Residents who need to take care of city business can visit the Township website before the holiday or wait until offices reopen.

Residents should also plan for a change to their usual trash and recycling schedule. Waste Management normally collects refuse in Robinson Township on Tuesdays, but service is delayed by one day during weeks when a collection day falls on or after an observed holiday. With Labor Day falling on Monday, Sept. 7, expect Tuesday's trash and odd-week recycling collection to move to Wednesday, Sept. 9.
