TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: What will it take for community members, when asked, to say that the school system is a shining example of excellence in the stewardship of public resources?
BACKGROUND: Most assessments of school district performance in Pennsylvania place Moon Area School District at the outer edge of the top 10%. Our School Board has challenged the administration to lift Moon's performance even higher - to the top 1% of school districts in PA.
The strategic plan - currently being developed - will provide a road map to accomplishing this very challenging objective.
