New Principal Hired at Moon Area High School

Barry Balaski will begin work in the district next month.

The announced that its new high school principal will take office on April 4. 

Barry Balaski, who most recently served as the assistant principal at Blackhawk High School, was hired by the district on March 14. He will replace Principal Michael Hausser, who will retire at the end of this school year.

The district said in a news release that Balaski has 14 years of teaching experience at Reynolds, Greenville and the Seneca Valley school districts. He graduated from Thiel College and receved a master's degree from Carlow University.

“The district is privileged to welcome Mr. Balaski and his years of relevant experience to this extremely important role in the high school,” said Superintendent Donna Milanovich in the news release.
