What's Hoppin': Beer Sampling at Bocktown Marks Big Pour Week

Craft beer lovers and those looking to learn more are invited to sample a variety of beers this week at Bocktown in Robinson Township.

Victory Brewing Company kicked off the series of tastings Tuesday in conjunction with Steel City Big Pour Week. The week surrounds the upcoming third annual Steel City Big Pour on Saturday, Sept. 7.

On Wednesday, Voodoo Brewery poured samples from its line of fun, flavorful beers.

Brewmaster Matt Allyn, founder of Voodoo Brewery, said he was glad to take part at Bocktown, which has been a buyer since the Meadville-based brewery opened in 2007.

Upcoming tastings include samples of New Holland barrel aged beer pairings from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, and Blue Point's iPA Expo with Rob Johnson from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.
