Rolls-Royce Buys Moon Nuclear Company

An international power systems company today acquires a Rouser Road-based firm for an undisclosed sum of Monday.

The Rolls-Royce Group has acquired the Moon Township-based firm which specializes in nuclear engineering support services.Β 

The London-based company, which is unrelated to the luxury car maker, acquired PKMJ for an undisclosed sum on Tuesday, according to the Wall Street Journal.Β 

Lawrie Haynes, president of the Rolls-Royce nuclear division said in a statement:Β

"Our investment in PKMJ represents another significant step toward growing our global civil nuclear business and providing customers with a suite of services to deliver safe and efficient life-cycle operations."Β 

PKMJ is now located at 410 Rouser Road in Moon. The company employs 200 and was founded in 1982, according to its website. Β

Paul Tobin, president of PKMJ, said in a company statement he is "delighted" by the acquisition.Β
