Senator Smith to Host 7th Annual Senior Fair

Sen. Matt Smith is hosting a seventhΒ annual Senior Fair onΒ Thursday for constituents, which includesΒ those from the Moon andΒ RobinsonΒ area.
The event isΒ fromΒ 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3Β at The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, 1500 Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon.Β Β Β
More thanΒ 100 exhibitors will provide information on services, products and programs specifically geared to older adults.Β
Light refreshments will be provided along with entertainment and educational demonstrations.
βWe provide a one-stop-shop for seniors to receive assistance from government agencies, organizations, and businesses that cater to seniors,β Smith, D-Allegheny/Washington said in a news release. βThis also provides an invaluable opportunity for me to interact with local seniors directly and hear their thoughts and concerns.β
Free health screenings and seasonal influenza immunizations will be available for individuals 65 and older as they have in past years. Individuals interested in the flu shot, should bring their Medicare or supplemental insurance card.

βEach year we are able to provide much needed information and flu shots to more and more seniors,β said Smith. βWe canβt forget that face-to-face contact and information is still very important to older adults who may not have internet access and/or any other way to learn about valuable programs.β
