David Bachman accepts the 6th seat on the Board of Moon Township Supervisors

When David Bachman was a sophomore at Moon Area High School, way back in 1973, he and his friend Warren Kelly desperately wanted an ice hockey team. At the time, Moon had no rink and no money for their cause. As hard working and tenacious kids, they went door-to-door, raising money, for the first ever, Moon hockey club team.
That year was a first, of what has became a successful sports program for Moon Township. It was also the first, of many years, that Moon’s hockey team, albeit club team, went all the way to the playoffs and won the championship.
David Bachman is no stranger to what it takes to build teams, to work hard in order to accomplish goals. He knows what it takes to raise awareness and build community spirit.

After being elected November 3rd, David is serious about the upcoming responsibilities. He is positive and determined. “I will work hard for you, for Moon Township. You elected me to get a job done, and that job starts today.”
Just as he and his friend led that hockey team to its first championship, David Bachman plans to lead this community into a recognized leader among Pittsburgh communities.
