Anthony J. Biondi of Merchants Bank to be Honored with 2015 Good Scout Award
Annual Slate Belt-Nazareth Friends of Scouting Breakfast, April 24th, 2015 at The Washington Banquet Facility in Bangor.

(Bangor, PA) The Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council, announces that Anthony J. Biondi of Merchants Bank will be honored with the Good Scout Award at the Annual Slate Belt-Nazareth Friends of Scouting Breakfast, April 24th at The Washington Banquet Facility in Bangor. Mr. Biondi will be recognized by Scouts, friends, family, business and community leaders for his significant achievements and service to the Slate Belt-Nazareth community. The Good Scout Award recognizes individuals who set positive examples for others and demonstrate selfless concern and care for their communities.
Mr. Biondi has served the Slate Belt and beyond in many ways over the years including: helping to lead economic revitalization and regionalization efforts; advocating and fundraising for Bangor Area School Districtβs Leader in Me Program; and serving as a representative for the Lehigh Valley market at the Community Depository Institution Advisory Council (CDIAC) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, where he shares insights on the economic and business trends facing the local community. Under Anthony Biondiβs leadership, Merchants Bank has won two volunteer awards including the βPride of Forksβ award from the Business and Commerce Association of Forks and the βSpirit of Volunteerismβ through the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. The Bank prides itself on its annual philanthropy to non-profits, including the funding of Eagle Scout projects the last several years.

Minsi Trails Council provides leadership and character development programs to nearly 11,000 youth with 5,000 adult volunteers. The council serves young people throughout the Anthracite Region, Pocono Mountains and Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania along with western New Jersey and serves six-counties: Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Carbon, Luzerne, and Warren counties.
