Bribes Just Don't Do It
This mom needs some advice on what to do when bribes of candy and toys no longer work.
I hate to say it moms, but bribes like candy and toys just don't seem to work anymore. Now that my 5 year old sees commercials for all of the things she could ever want, she turns down bribes like a piece of chocolate or a coloring book.
So sad that advertising had to kill this method of convincing my child to clean up her messy bedroom. I am ready and accepting any ideas from other moms regarding a new method, because I am about to pull out my hair every time I get a "no," or her new excuse, "my legs hurt."
Help!
