Second Empire Style in Stockertown

1877 lithograph of the Centennial Hotel in Stockertown.

If you've ever been in Stockertown and wondered about that huge, grand old building on Main Street that is the current home of Tony's Pizza and Famous Tattoo Works, here's an old lithograph of its former life as the Centennial Hotel along the former Easton-Wilkes Barre Turnpike, later PA 115 and Sullivan Trail.

The other Second Empire style building next to it was a generalΒ store for many years. While Hearthstone Fireplace has been occupying it for a few decades, there are still many remnants of the building's former life inside theΒ first-floor showroom.
