Tatamy's Annual Firemen's Parade in Photos

It was a bright, sunny day, but a Circular Polarizer Filter over a camera lens allowed for great shots of the annual Firemen's Parade in Tatamy.

The annual Firemen's Parade in Tatamy was heldΒ this past weekend and featured a wide variety of vehicles from 35 different fire departments.Β As always, the parade was a great time and there was a great turnout.

I find it neat to see all of the different types and styles of firetrucks from the various companies; however, seeing the firefighters gives me a friendly reminder that these men and women work hard and are truly dedicated to the job they choose to do every day.

A carnival at Tatamy Volunteer Fire Company, which is always nice, was held after the parade. You can't go wrong with good food, good fun and good company.

Of course, I brought my camera with me during this extremely sunny day. Because I had to shoot directly into the sun, getting great shots was tricky. I made sure to use a Circular Polarizer Filter on my lens. This particular filter helps bring down the brightness of the photos.

July 9 was a great day for a parade. If you missed it this time around, make sure to check it out next year!
