OK, so I did it, instead of all day.
My five-year-old daughter got a taste of the word "no" at random times throughout the day yesterday. She didn't respond the way I thought she would, so apparently when an adult says "NO!" in the same manner a child protests and says "NO!" -- it's not worth it.
Oh, well. At least I got her to accept the fact that things won't always go her way (or mine either).
