Child Injured While Playing Baseball in Borough

Nazareth officer says boy 'jarred his neck' when he collided with another player.

A boy who plays baseball for a Bangor Little League team was injured shortly after 10 a.m. this morning while playing in a game at , according to a Nazareth police officer and a Nazareth Majors Little League volunteer.

The boy was playing baseball when he collided with another Bangor player, both sources confirmed.

“He collided with another player and he jarred his neck,” said the borough police officer, who did not wish to be identified.

Rose Lichner, a volunteer with the Nazareth Majors, said the boy was sent to a local hospital “just for precautions” following the accident.

Initial reports from the Breaking News Network stated a 2-year-old male had collided with another player while playing baseball and could not feel his back or legs.
