DEP Issues Air-Quality Alert for Lehigh Valley

Those sensitive to air pollution should limit time spent outside, the DEP says.

The Department of Environmental Protection on Tuesday issued an air-quality alert for the Lehigh Valley.

Air quality in the Lehigh Valley has been rated a Code Orange, which means it is unhealthy for certain people to spend time outdoors.

β€œPeople with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion,” the DEP said.
