Despite Rain, So Fun! Frozen Yogurt Holds Successful Grand Opening Celebration
A promising start may turn this new shop into a local favorite.
Scattered thunderstorms and cold rain did not stop the line at in Lower Nazareth from snaking through the small shop and out the door. Moist patrons went in frowning and came out smiling, frozen yogurt in hand -- free frozen yogurt, that is.
As part of the grand opening celebrations held Thursday, So Fun! offered free frozen yogurt from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Company president Richard Oelbaum was present to help dish out yogurt, and company mascot CupDude helped ease the tension of the long wait.
Oelbaum was all smiles as he helped customers and wiped down tables. The location in the Lower Nazareth Commons Plaza is the first for the new chain, with a second store planned for Wayne, Pennsylvania, and likely more locations to come.

Store manager Jon Harada barely had but a minute to pause for a photo op, and kept his answers succinct by simply saying with a smile, “Business is good.”
How is So Fun! different than other frozen yogurt chains? First, customers pay by weight rather than by size. Then there are the 16 flavors available every day, rotated from a stock of more than 60 total flavors. All of the yogurts are low-calorie, low-fat or nonfat, and there are also gluten-free, dairy-free, low-carb and sugarless options as well.
