Famous Footwear Closes in Palmer Park Mall

The Palmer Park Mall has sustained another casualty.

Famous Footwear -- just across from the Fiat dealership -- has closed up shop.

The mall has undergone numerous changes recently with the opening of a new book store, Spencer's and a toy store, all just before the holiday shopping season.

It was unknown how long Famous Footwear has operated in the mall. A sign on the front of the store said that its fixtures were for sale.

The mall, which is anchored by Boscov's and The Bon-Ton, features more than 45 stores. But it has lost several stores in the last year, including DollarSmart, PacSun, Gyro Café and Read Green Books.
